The Economic Institute of Cambodia (EIC) is an expanding research institute working closely in partnership with various national and international organizations. It serves as an independent think tank which aims to provide essential information and a thorough insight into Cambodia’s socio-economic development.
We are currently expanding our activities to private sector development. We are seeking a qualified Cambodian National to fill the position of IT Manager for Communication Department based in Phnom Penh and some travel to province.
Responsibilities:
- Master Degree in IT Management with major in application development and network administration;
- Minimum 5 years work experience in Management of IT systems
- Good knowledge in configuration and administration of Switch and Router and Network Security Devices;
- Knowledge of Cisco networking (LAN, WAN) and active directory service;
- Knowledge of HP Server, Dell Server, Cisco router wireless, Cisco switches, Linksys router, ADSL Modem, A+ Computer hardware;
- Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Vista, DOS, SQL Server, Access, MySQL;
- Strong knowledge hardware monitor, motherboard, power supply repairing and software installation;
- Experience in website design and administration;
- Experience in application design and programming;
- Good organizational and communication skill;
- Team leadership and IT Training experience;
- Fluency in English both spoken and written;
- Hard working and ability to work under pressure to tight time frame;
- Additional training/diploma in GIS, Map Info will be an added advantage;
Qualification and skills:
Interested candidate have to prove qualified experience, education, and/or training to undertake above responsibilities. These experience, education, and/or training must reflect the ability to analyze problems, come up with practical solutions, and to communicate effectively with others.
Below are some specifications for the assigned position:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the MIS team;
- Provides training/capacity building and implementation for IT team;
- Lead the development of MIS systems and infrastructures in Economic Institute of Cambodia;
- Develop work-plan and monitor its implementation for all IT-related activities including maintenance and support to all users at the Economic Institute of Cambodia and its partner organizations;
- Study the organization needs and recommend appropriate MIS strategies;
- Creates and/or directs creation of IT Training Handbooks and EIC specific manuals;
- Assist and recommend to the management team in ensuring best value for money for all IT-related equipment purchases, taking into account qualities, prices, reliability;
- Manage and maintain Operating System as Windows and system Monitoring, Troubleshooting software & Hardware in proper working of system management control;
- Advise on use of Web Technology to distribute corporate information;
- Coordinate IT training:
- Assist Units and projects/department in identifying their training needs;
- Organize or facilitate IT trainings to staff and user;
- Participate in the training and orientation of new employee and provide clarification and information to employee on IT systems and procedures;
- Support research division with certain task related to production of high quality maps, reports design etc.
