Mr. Neou Seiha - Research Manager
Neou Seiha joined EIC in November 2004 as a researcher specialized in data compiling and modeling. He received his Bachelor of Business of Administration at the Royal University of Law and Economics in Cambodia, diploma delivered by the French Cooperation and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). He completed a Bachelor of Economics and Management and an MA in Economics specializing in computer engineering to provide decisions and economic assessment at the University of Lumiere Lyon 2 in France. As an EIC researcher he has served as a project task manager and as a data consultant heading the online database project.
Mr. Chhan Paul - Senior Researcher, M & E
Mr. Chhan Paul, a holder of a master of science in urban environmental management, joined the Economic Institute of Cambodia (EIC) in November, 2008 as a researcher (M&E) responsible for, in partnership with Catalyst Management Services, Bangalore, India, planning and managing the Evaluation and Learning component of PECSA program. Due to his performance he was promoted to a position of senior researcher in June 2009. In addition to his PECSA project, he is designing M&E methodology, writing proposals, and assisting the research director as required. He is interested in a range of subjects such as monitoring and evaluating development projects / programs (governance, social issues such as child labour, poverty reduction, and private sector development), projects in the field of environment and urban environment. Prior to joining EIC, Mr. Paul worked as a Development Policy Project Officer with the NGO forum on Cambodia. That is where he learnt a great deal policy-related issues which, together with the degree from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), had laid the groundwork for his present job and ability.
Mr. Giovanni Dazzo - Senior Researcher, M & E
Giovanni Dazzo holds research, consulting and volunteer experiences across North America, Europe and Southeast Asia. He has conducted evaluations at the policy, program and project level for public sector institutions, universities and research institutes, non-governmental organizations, and bilateral and multilateral donor agencies. In his current role at EIC, he is responsible for preparing proposals and contracts, the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation studies, and carrying out applied research projects between EIC’s Private Sector Development and Monitoring & Evaluation Units. His primary research interests include: social and economic inclusion; state-society relations; the political economy of development; and, public sector performance and efficiency. Giovanni holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master of Public Management from the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy.
Ms. Chann Sokros - Researcher
Ms. Chann Sokros joined EIC in April 2008 as a researcher. She holds an MBA degree from Southern Taiwan University in 2007. She also received her Bachelor of Business Administration at the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) and Bachelor degree in Economic Management from Lumiere Lyon II University in France. Before joining EIC, she used to work in a local airline where she earned quite good knowledge in airline industry. Within EIC, Ms. Chann Sokros serves as project task manager, project team leader and local consultant mainly in private sector development. She has been responsible for various projects with donors, international organizations and multinational companies such as WVC, IFC, Intel Corp., ITC (Switzerland), UNDP, etc.
