The Economic Institute of Cambodia (EIC) is an expanding policy research institute working closely in partnership with various national and international organizations. It serves as an independent think tank which aims to provide essential information and a thorough insight into Cambodia’s socio-economic development.

EIC is currently seeking to appoint qualified candidates to fill in the positions of Economic Researchers and Sociologist.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the setting of research priorities, planning and conducting of projects;
• Carry out substantive applies research projects for publications;
• Write scientific articles on research findings in EIC publications and/or other well known research institutions;
• Present the research findings to audiences both in Cambodia and abroad.

Qualifications Required:

• Master degree in related field, economics, sociology, law, social or political sciences;
• Strong quantitative analysis and qualitative research skills;
• Excellent understanding of general development issues;
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to create an effective and good working environment—ability to work in a team and under frequent pressure to meet deadline;
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, clear planning, decision making, and self motivated and proven ability to take initiative;
• Excellent English writing and communication skills;
• Proficiency in a variety of computer software, particularly statistical package;
